vCloudau: Cloud Computing with no Geographical Boundaries

Trevor Mifsud,CEO, vcloud australiaTrevor Mifsud, CEO

The cloud-computing paradigm has drastically changed the way businesses operate their IT functions these days. Today’s corporate data centers are built on a complex and interweaved platform that encompasses cloud solutions from multiple vendors and online service providers like Office 365, Dropbox, Salesforce among others. Interconnectivity among various components remains a major concern in the industry as solutions hosted in different locations, managed by different companies and accessed through multiple devices brings forth complex data center architecture at the core. Connectivity among various elements, nonetheless, remains the Holy Grail. Melbourne, Australia based firm, vCloudau, is one of the few companies that understands this rapidly evolving cloud architecture and has helped many of its clients mitigate the roadblocks faced in their transition to the cloud based solutions. Over the years, the company has increased the number of quality driven networks to solve the connectivity issues often faced in the cloud ecosystem. Trevor Mifsud, CEO, expounds, “Our customer-centric platform allows consumers to share their cloud experience.”

IT team at vCloudau continuously monitors clients’ IT deployments to offer faster, reliable, always-up, and secure infrastructure. The Company’s virtual network platform offers access to corporate networks from anywhere in the world, through any device without the need of virtual private network (VPN) or private communication back links. vCloudau’s services such as Virtual Cloud Network, Business Continuity and Managed Services play an integral role in adding value to clients’ businesses. Virtual Cloud Network is the primary service from the company’s stable. vCloudau’s virtual network enables organizations to flawlessly connect to any of their local connected devices including USBs or printers that are available on local workstations with its Virtual Cloud Network services.

With an internet connection, clients using PC, Mac or iPad can directly connect to corporate virtual network from anywhere in the world.

vCloudau also takes care of malicious virus attacks that can cripple corporate networks and result in huge losses with its managed services. These managed services continuously monitor the performance of clients’ workstations and servers. The Company’s managed service checks for software updates, file transfer to and from computers, and anti-virus deployments. It also provides remote access with TeamViewer. System monitoring based on CPU, RAM, Hard Drive and Network Utilisation, remote restarts, shut downs, and alert management solutions are the additional benefits that clients gain out of association with vCloudau.

Usually, cloud resources are put in failover mode and multiple copies of electronic records converge instantly to avert any untoward loss of mission-critical business data. vCloudau understands the criticality of online presence for small and medium sized businesses and so, offers business continuity services that hinge on industry standards and continuous backup solutions. vCloudau achieves business continuity using two distinct solutions: VirtualBoot Technology for SME businesses and HeadStart Restore for large businesses. On sudden breakdowns, vCloudau’s solutions finalize the backup image to be restored and then command VMware ESXi server to power up the virtual machines.

vCloudau is an end-to-end cloud computing service provider. For every client, the company analyses the business needs, existing infrastructure, cost, security and performance benefits before deciding on a platform that is scalable and easy to deploy. It leverages VMware’s VDI (Virtual Desktop infrastructure) to provide corporate access to the private networks operating out of the public clouds. Owing to its innovative cloud services, the company has been named in APAC CIO Outlook for two subsequent years, 2016 & 2017. Going forward, the company plans to leverage its IT skills and further deepen cloud based solutions portfolio to offer significant performance.
